Introducing Pizza Month

Being pregnant as I am, I was struggling with keeping up with a menu or even writing a menu to begin with so I came up with the novel idea to have "Pizza Month".  Thankfully it fits right in with March Madness and we commenced.
When I put forth the idea it was already Monday and wouldn't you know it, we had already had pizza on Saturday the first and had eaten the left overs on Sunday for lunch as we usually do.  It was getting close to dinner time and I had leftovers of sweet and sour chicken in the fridge and decided it was a perfect fit.

I made my usual crust and chopped up the leftovers and threw it in the oven.

It turned out good and used up the leftovers that I had no plans of eating.

Crust: Regular 2/3 recipe (half wheat)
Sauce: Ragu and sweet and sour sauce from leftovers
Toppings: breaded chicken, bell peppers, pineapple, and green onion
Cheese: Full Mozzarella

Introduction

Hi, we're the Bryce's. We're foodies, but not the weird organic kale kind (although we like farmers markets, organic food, and would eat kale if we could afford it). We decided to start this blog to document our food experiences, mostly created in our own kitchen. We've been taking pictures of our food for a long time and some of it has made a post on our other blogs (see: ArizonaSun and JackSprat), but when  it came time to do a whole month of pizza it became necessary to give the food its own cyber spot. We hope you enjoy!

Family food mantra: "It tastes better when it's made with love"
Family food specialty: Pie (especially peach)
Family food traditions (most of these will get their own entry eventually):
     Valentine's Day: Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
     Allen's Birthday: TBD
Easter: Cheesy potatoes, Ham, Green Beans, and Jello
Summer: Wiener roast (hot dogs, grandma's punch, potato chips, and s'mores)
     Lindsay's Birthday: Popcorn Cake
Thanksgiving: Jello Mold + Lots of Pie
     Betty's Birthday: TBD
Christmas: Cheesy potatoes, ham, green beans, cheese ball, etc.
Jack's Birthday: Chicken noodle soup, crescent rolls, and lemon meringue pie
New Year's Eve: Lil smokeys or pigs in a blanket, chips and dip, cheese ball, etc.

As we welcome you to our family dinner table we hope that you will try some of the food and share it with your friends. Remember the family food mantra and always cook with our favorite secret ingredient, LOVE!
